Clare Fox and Wayne Maki met and founded Mutual Adoration in 2012. Mutual Adoration builds custom furniture, picture frames, and housewares, primarily from reclaimed wood sourced in Detroit. In 2017 we founded POST - an open concept retail store and workshop space on Detroit's east side. Housed in a 1940’s US Post Office, POST carries a huge variety of handmade goods from small independent makers, as well as offering hands-on workshops in contemporary craft.

This brand was created out of a need to find exclusive clothing for the founding family, who would often desire to wear upscale apparel to events but would have a hard time finding exactly what they wanted.
